In her role as Managing Director at Stretto, Maryann’s primary focus is monetary recovery for clients through preference actions and other types of bankruptcy avoidance claims. Leveraging deep subject-matter knowledge, she consults on claim and defense analysis and negotiation. Working with clients to pursue domestic and international claims, she offers strategic advice and mediation support. During Maryann’s three decades of practicing law, she has helped resolve billions of dollars of preference and other avoidance claims resulting in favorable outcomes and recoveries for clients. With an LLM in taxation from NYU Law, Maryann’s clients rely on her to better understand capital structures and the potential results of certain tax strategies. Prior to joining Stretto, Maryann served as senior managing director at Acumen Recovery Services, as well as restructuring and insolvency counsel at the law firms of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP, Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Weil Gotshal & Manges. She is also a member of the New York and New Jersey State Bars, as well as a member of ABI and the New York City Bar Association.
