Banking Operations Analyst 1

Stretto is seeking a Banking Operations Analyst I to join our growing and innovative team headquartered in Irvine, California. This is a two-year contract position.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide client assistance with account openings and closings, fund transfers, FED wires, checks, ACH, stop payments, monthly reconciliation, W9’s and other banking related questions through email and phone calls
  • Identify, research and resolve client issues with proprietary software
  • Ensure client issues are resolved to client’s satisfaction by working with banks and internal teams
  • Onboard new clients by obtaining specific bank requirements and set up clients in the Stretto database
  • Document all client contact in Client Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Perform daily banking tasks while meeting tight deadlines
  • Use SQL to query database daily
  • Escalate urgent or unresolved issues timely and appropriately
  • Submit requests for bug fixes and perform user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Continuously update team procedures as changes occur

Position Expectations

Knowledge of bankruptcy industry, Stretto products and tools:

  • Subject Matter Expert knowledge is applied in resolving client issues
  • Anticipate the impact a software defect, operational issue, or proposed solution will have on the client system
  • Training progress meets expectations defined in Training Tracker and is reported to supervisor monthly
  • Quickly grasp both the concept and details of new features and functionality

Client Service:

  • Take live calls for the Banking Center team and as a backup for other Support Center teams
  • Provide exceptional client service with professional phone presence and follow-through skills
  • Perform according to Support Center Service Standards

Troubleshooting / Ticket Resolution:

  • Maintain a sense of urgency and ownership while working to resolve issue
  • Ability to communicate problems and potential solutions clearly to Bank, Operations Analysts, and Stretto management
  • Complete repetitive tasks daily
  • Ensures team meets all deadlines
  • Exercise sound judgment in all actions
  • Problem, action, and resolution are documented clearly and timely
  • Accurate achievement of daily deadlines on action items

  • Appropriately handle confidential information to safeguard such information and only use it or disclose it as expressly authorized or specifically required in the course of performing their specific job duties. Misuse of confidential information can be intentional (acts and/or omissions), or a product of negligence or inadvertence. Misuse of data should be avoided such as but not limited to:
  • Accessing information not directly germane or relevant to the employee’s specifically assigned tasks
  • Disclosing, discussing and/or providing confidential information to any individual not authorized to view or access that data, including but not limited to third parties, volunteers, vendors and other Stretto employees
  • Reckless, careless, negligent, or improper handling, storage or disposal of confidential data, including electronically stored and/or transmitted data, printed documents and reports containing confidential information
  • Deleting or altering information without authorization, generating and/or disseminating false or misleading information, and using information viewed or retrieved from the systems for non-work use.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Finance strongly preferred
  • Ideally, candidates should possess at least two years of prior banking experience, preferably as a teller or in operations, or equivalent experience in the bankruptcy industry
  • Must have working knowledge of personal computer applications including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with supporting proprietary software a plus
